I was at the range yesterday, my CZ-52 suddenly stopped working. After taking it down, I found that the magazine disconnect isn't rising up to meet the seer. The safety is very stiff. If I engage the safety while the weapon is uncocked, the disconect drops completely below the seer. If I leave the safety off, the disconnect will remain out of line, but slightly in contact with the seer, so it will fire.

Anyone ahve any idea what the problem is? I'll try to post some pics soon, I know I'm not being that clear.

Fixed it.

I had some grit stuck between the screw that holds the hammer on and the triggger bar. The bar was molded improperly and had a small burr that held the grit in place. I took it down, thoroughly cleaned it, and dremelled off the burr. Problem sovled!

Well now I'm red-faced. I took the gun to a friend of mine who does some gunsmithing work on the side, and showed him what was wrong. He called it a mag disconnect. My diagrams I downloaded all call it a trigger bar or transfer bar. Only thing it has to do with the magazine that I can tell is pop up after the last round to hold the slide back. O well, last time I trust him aobut guns :p
