I finally got a CZ 52 after waiting several years for a good price. I picked up a nice specimen at a local store for $150. You can see photos and my report on the pistol at www.digitalperspective.org. Just click on the CZ 52 link.

I would really like to have some decent sites installed on this pistol and maybe have it refinished. The factory sites are terrible. Does anyone know a reputable outfit that does work like this on the CZ 52?

Thanks for any info.

welcome aboard, and by all means search cz 52 on this site. veritable plethora.

Any gunsmith with a milling machine ought to be able to handle that for you. Been thinking about doing the same for my TTC-- my CZ-52 is too inaccurate to bother putting decent sights on. ;-)

makarov.com is going out of business and selling off the last of their stock. If you want something get it now before it's gone!

Thanks but makarov.com was the first place I found CZ52 info but they have no more parts stocked for it save some threading adaptor I don't need:( I'm having trouble finding parts online.

Angus...

A great place to start asking is to call GHOST PRODUCTS (Mesa, AZ) 480-969-1311... Ask ANGUS HOBBDELL and see if he can help/direct you... He does a ton of custom CZ work.

I put a coat of orange paint on my front sight. The sights are small but they work well and the sight radius is LOOOOOOOOONG. The factory sights work well for me. If not for you maybe you should look into the rear ghost ring sight Makarov.com sells. It looks like an interesting alternative.

Not to be pissy but

A CZ52 is not a CZ like the 75. I doubt Angus would be able to help you anymore than any other gunsmith.

Two totally different factories. They all share the CZ name due to being state owned/run back in the day.

CZ that makes the CZ75 is actually CZ Uhersky Brod

CZ that made the CZ52 is CZ Strakonice. They still sell guns.

Thankfully, CZ UB can't take any credit for that abortion of a pistol
