I've been running around over the Net this AM, checking to see who makes a basic leather thumbsnap duty or outdoors holster with a body much like the Tom Threepersons style for CZ 75 or 85 autos. I don't want the holster too low cut; it should cover most of the slide, for instance, up to about the rear sight.

Anyone know? I want quality at least as good as Bianchi's or Galco's. And I'd rather not have to wait to get an El Paso...

Is it possible that I could ue the CZ in a holster marked for another large auto, like the Beretta M92? I think it's just a little too large to fit in most Browning HP holsters. The thumbstrap has to be able to fasten, of course. That's why I can't use a Bianchi used holster for the Browning that I got at a gun show. Didn't have the CZ with me, and HOPED it would fit. You know how that goes...

Thanks.

Wheres Eric?

Check out www.hbeleatherworks.com I don't know for sure if he has what you are looking for but he might. I have three hosters from him and all have been absolutely superb. BTW Eric(the owner and operator of HBE) goes by PCRCCW on this bored.

Not to take away from our esteemed member/holster gurus, but High Noon also makes some very decent holsters for the money. The more rigid ones are model specific, but their full size Hidden Ally also fits about five other models... Glock 17/22, BHP and others I can't remember.

I've never used any of their holsters with a thumb break as if I am open carrying, I use a generic Uncle Mikes nylon holster. But I have owned five of their Hidden Ally/Hidden Impact holsters for various guns and have been very impressed with all of them. My current daily carry is a CZ PCR in a Hidden Impact. With the tension screw set just right, I can have the gun in the holster, held upside down and shake it somewhat and it will not fall out.

Although this is not the holster you describe in your post it is a good example of a holster made for a CZ85C. It is a quality piece. Give FIST a look and you should find exactly the kind of holster you want. http://www.fist-inc.com/
Good shooting;)

HBE specializes in CZ holsters. Don't know if he is offering Thumbsnaps now.
I also have and like High Noon products...don't know about any models
that are for CZs that feature a thumbsnap.

You might want to try DeSantis. They make some holsters for CZ75s. I got a Thumb-break scabbard a few months ago. Works well, fairly inexpensive, had it in a few days after I orderd it. It's not the most beautiful thing in the world, but then again, I'm also not too worried about messing it up. If you need one quick or cheap this might be the way to go. If you can wait a little, again HBE's sure are pretty. For what it's worth, 75s usually fit into holsters made for Beretta 92/96s also.
