Hello,

I am looking for holsters for my new CZ-75 SP-01 pistol. I don't yet have the pistol in hand so I can't test any holsters physically. (It's waiting back at my hometown gun store 200 miles away)

My main question is whether the SP-01 version fits standard CZ-75 holsters or if some of the slightly different dimensions of the SP-01 (accessory rail, longer grip(?), etc) should be considered.

1. I need a new body for my Comp Tac Minotaur MTAC. They offer a CZ75/85; P-01; and 75B Compact. Would one of these work?

2. Any suggestions on a cheap, kydex, OWB range and general outdoor (hiking on private property, yard work) use holster? Something akin to my Fobus Kydex Padddle I use with my Glock 19?

Blade Tec makes an OWB holster for the SP01. Because of the rail, I am not sure holsters made for the 75 will work.

RigRate is sweet but it still doesn't list the SP-01. I'll probably just call CTAC re: their MTAC bodies because they have good customer support.

Regarding the paddle holster, anyone try a Fobus yet? That's all I really need and they're widely accessible so I was going to combine the shipping with an upcoming Midway/CTD/Sportsman's Warehouse order (I need surplus ammo cans bad!)

SA- Isn't the P-01 a compact model? I have an SP-01...

I'm also on a budget for the cheap holster - a $20 Fobus would be ideal. Galco gets kind of pricey and my MTAC is my pricey, daily-wear, concealable holster.

i have the cz 40p which has the same frame but 3/4 inch longer slide /barrel you no what i mean anyway try fobus ru97 or hk 1 springfield xd models fit to i hear you can find out more on the cz forum i hope this is ok to say that i no it was a bugger to find a holster for mine they call these franken guns im a lefty as well or id of got the ru 97 model i have to get the hk1 model it will fit as well but the ru97 fits better i hear just my 2 cents

Holsters for the 75 likely won't work if they have any kind of molding.

Holsters for the P-01 probably will work for an SP-01, provided they don't have any sort of enclosure at the nose and the user doesn't mind having the front end of the pistol extending below the end of the holster.

I read somewhere here or over at TLF about using Glock 21 holsters for the SP-01. I tried it with an Uncle Mike's OWB paddle holster for the G-21 and it does work well.

Holsters for the 75, 85 or p-01 will not fit the SP-01.

Fobus lists the SP-01 as being compatible with their model SG05 (for the sig pro). I haven't tried so I can't corroborate.

Mine lives in a BladeTec which can be adapted for straight on the belt, dropped offset, paddle, IWB.... etc.

I'm not crazy about kydex holsters, but it's the best solution I've found so far. It is damn fast BTW, can't complain about that. I just like leather better for everyday carry. Since my SP01 is just for gaming, it will stay with the BladeTec

FWIW, Comp-Tac offers no SP-01 body to fit my MTAC Minotaur leather/kydex holster. Maybe if others request it, they will make one...

I'll probably just get a Fobus for the moment. I can't be buying another expensive carry-holster for a pistol that I'm rarely going to carry.
