Had a pretty new XDM 9mm that I just did not like. Have a XD40 that I love, but the XDM 9 just felt weird to me when I fired it. It sounds strange but for a 9mm to me it seemed to have too much flip in the muzzle. Bothered the hell out of me. My XD 40 has less perceived recoil to me.
So I trade it for a "new" 75BD Police w/ night sites.
After about 25 rounds down the pipe I started getting FTE's. This happened periodically while shooting 150 rounds of WWB.
Take it home clean it, inspect the chamber, make sure the extractor isn't messed up, and back to the range.
Another 160 rounds through the pipe with mixed ammo. Winchester, Federal, Hornady, Remington. Still a bunch of FTEs, but mostly with Winchester White Box.
It actually appears that the round being extracted gets hung up on the next round to be fed from the mag. This causes the slide to stick open without fully ejecting the case or loading the next round.
I'm really disappointed because this gun feels great in the hand, and I shoot much better with it than the XDM.
Any ideas? How do you find out if the gun is under warranty from CZ?
