Hello, I've been lurking around this forum for a while, never needed to register except for now.

I am looking desperately for a CZ 75bd (new) but can't find it anywhere. Even the CZ 75b cannot be found.

Does anyone know why they are so scarce? Is CZ-USA going out of business?

Thanks.

I doubt they're going out of business, their pistols are pretty popular. The model BD is somewhat of a rarity though around here. I see regular 75B models pretty frequently but the BD model is very uncommon.

CZ-USA is hardly going out of business - they are back ordered like crazy for pistols, due to the buying surge.
czcustom.com is THE premier place for CZ gun smithing - if you get it there, see if you can get it with one of Angus trigger jobs. ;)
Have you tried Buds online?

Having owned a BD for a while, I recommend you get the b model. Same DA/SA layout, but also allows C&L if you desire later on.

I'd sell you mine but it's fairly sentimental at this point. Those polished 75b's sure are pretty though.

I bought a used BD last year, like Chris, I like the B I have and compact I got new better, as I like cocked and locked.

Thanks Guys, I check Buds every day but find nothing.
I also got a reply from cz-custom, but they will contact me when they get stock.

I bought my CZ-75BD in 2000 for,IIRC, $189.00. Now, when you can find one, they are over $600.00. The reason they are hard to find is they're selling everything they can make.

I'm not familiar with the model you named, nut I did use a Jericho when I went throuh the academy and I now carry a CZ75 P-01. I have bought, sold, carried, shot, and been issues a genuine plethora of firearms. I only mention this because I want you to understand this decision is not reached lightly. I have NEVER found a handgun that better fits my needs AND exceeds my expectations the way my current carry gun does. Now I realize not all CZ's are the same, but (in a sense) they kinda are. Out of everything I have ever carried/used, that CZ is the bombdiggity! Anybody trying to select an actual "fight pistol" really doesn't need to try an decide which GUN they want so much as which CZ they want :)

I finally got my CZ a few days ago. Got it at Buds. Funny thing though, I checked Buds at around 1am and bought it immediately upon seeing it. at 10am I checked back and they were all gone.

I replace the plastic grips with wooden ones.
