I Got A Real Cz-40p Pic From Czub!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday - I got fed up. I can't believe that we are all dropping/commiting our hard earned money (and in my case, well hidden from the wife) on a firearm we've NEVER SEEN ! So . . . . . The e-mails started. Two different people at CZ-USA. And a slew of people at CZUB. Here's a sample of the e-mail:

have also placed one of the new CZ-40P Limited on order through my local

And that's why I'm contacting you. We have actually started an entirely new
section on czforum.com devoted solely to this elusive CZ-40P that nobody
(except some lucky SHOT Show people) has ever seem. Many gunshops and
distributors are taking hard, committed orders for a firearm that the buyers
(including myself) have never seen. Sure, we can visualize the P-01 frame
and -40B slide . . . . . . but we wanna see the REAL THING!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CZUB, at least give your devoted buying customers a
real life pic of what this thing looks like! We have earned and deserve
that. The moment you send me a pic (or many - hint hint) I'll post them to
its rightful home in the CZ-40P room on czforum.com.

Ya know, really that doesn't do anything for me. I thought I would be really excited when I saw the pic. But, I'm not. I kinda like the stock P-01. This is really sad but I don't know if I even want one now. I guess I will have to get it since my FFL dealer went through so much to get it for me. HMMMMMMMM. Guess theres alot the think about. So, sad.

I hear ya Clipse. The sights look a little large. Out of proportion. Like big ears that stick out on a head.

But my intentions are different. This is a limited run. I got my shoe in the door of my dealer early so as to keep my options open. I really don't have any plans to shoot this buggar. Keep it locked up.

Question is. . . . . . Will a limited run CZ like this have any future value?

Additionally, the concept of collector value is a double-edged sword. Think about it - you don't realize ANY increase in value (even if appreciation is 500%) unless you sell the firearm. THEN you don't have it anymore. You cannot keep something for it's value if you never plan to sell it. It's funny how it works.

Actually, I’m still up in the air on whether or not I really want this or not. I have a tough time with the "have a firearm, but won't shoot it" concept. And I'm reluctant to shoot something that may be more valuable if left NIB. And it won't be valuable at all unless I resell it!!!! What a wicked circle!

Personally, I like it!!!! If I get one I am just gonna use it though, I am not into collecting and I think this would be a good carry piece, my wife has taken a liking to my pcr, I'll give that to her and pick up a 40p and a RAMI for me ......tom

I asked this of the hybrid PCR/P-01... I'll ask this of this gun.
What advatage does this have over a regular P-01?

Nice looking pistola except for that wart.

The only advantage I can see is for some people who demand .40
caliber.Something like the 155 gr. Remington Express load should
be quite snappy out of this compact.

Okay... I can see that. A quick and cheap way to put out a 40 caliber gun for the P-01 fans without the R&D expense of building a whole new set up. That works. That rear sight though...
What are the sight options for this? Slant Pros or XS-24/7's?

I know some folks have XS sights on their 40Bs, if I get one of these that is what I will do. From what I heard they had some 40B slides left over and figured since alot of guys were asking for a 40 with a decocker why not throw a few of these out there and see how the response is......tom

Some of the comments about the rear sight are just too funny.

Have a 40B and hated the 'look' of the rear sight.
Wanted XS sights anyway; so just made the change.

The XS sights 'look' so much better on the slide than that ski ramp.

Not real wild about it being a decocker. Like traditional SA/DA w/ cocked and locked as an option.
