Hey everyone... I took my CZ-82 out yesterday to practice with some S&B 9x18. After about 25 rounds the pin holding the extractor had backed out and the extractor and its spring went flying.
As hard as it is to believe, I found both the extractor AND the little spring and was able to put everything back together at the range.
Does anyone know how that pin is supposed to be retained? A drop of loctite? Peening? Tension of the extractor spring and friction? I can easily push it out with only finger pressure using a fine punch. I was able to put everything back together using a cartridge case as a thumb protector.
Or is this evidence that my recoil spring is worn out and should be replaced? It seems as though the pin moves quite easily but I haven't made any effort to degrease it.
