My SP01 is my current favorite handgun..been shooting it for about 1.5 years now with no issues at all. It is very accurate and easy to shoot well..

I have some MecGar mags somewhere and have no worries about them..

Are those the slim aluminum grips that Angus sells on his website?

I've had my eye on those but the factory rubberish grips fit so well I'm doubting that anything could be better!

The only thing I might consider changing is getting the competition sights Angus sells with a fiber optic front. I like the night sights but since my SP-01 is strictly for steel I'm thinking a red dot might show better than a white dot on white painted steel.

Here's a review of my recently purchased nickel CZ75B. Includes a pic of the gun and my best target shot with it so far. (2.4 inches at 25 yards).

Whittaker Guns has CZ75 factory magazines.

CDNN lists factory and MecGar mags but seems to have trouble keeping them in stock. They're currently out of the factory mags but have the Mec-Gars for $18.99

Glad you enjoyed it! I had fun doing the shooting and even putting the review together. ;)

Clint Westwood,

I, like you, never envisioned even picking up the CZ at a gunstore. For some ungodly reason I attributed CZ to cheap junk. Last Christmas I offered both sons a chance to have a gun of their own, either a revolver or pistol. My oldest had his eye on the CZ75BD Compact, and no matter how much I tried, I could not change his mind. I bought it to give to him for Christmas. Before wrapping it up, I field stripped, cleaned and re-lubed it. Thats when I really got a good look at the quality of this firearm. I was blown away, so being the good Santa Dad I am, and not having a staff of Quality Control Elves, I took it upon myself to test it out at the range. Two mags later I knew I wanted a CZ for myself. I traded a S&W 65-5 for this CZ75BD POLICE. I really like this gun, and that's hard to admit being the diehard 1911, 45acp guy I am. Here is my 9MM pride & joy from CZ,

& here is how I carry it IWB in a Tucker Heritage,

or OWB in a Tucker HF1.

Yes..these are the CZ grips you can get through Angus..they fit the CZ75, 85, SP01 and the TS.

extremely thin..I liked the CZ factory rubber grips too..but these are nice also.

Angus is also a pretty good gunsmith and is part of the CZ custom shop. (He may be the head of the custom shop -- I don't follow the details closely.)

He's a pretty highly-ranked IPSC/USPSA shooter, and shoot IDPA from time to time.

Eerw, You just made me one happy man. He is just down the street from me, and I would have never known. Thanks for that link.
