Does anyone here own a CZ Shadow 2? I am very much a CZ guy, and wanted to know how people think it stacks up next to the CZ P09. It's more of a competition or match gun if I'm not mistaken, but I'm never opposed to adding another CZ to the collection. Any thoughts, comparisons, impressions, or horror stories are welcome. I just want some info from people who aren't you-tubers, or the random dudes who hang out at the gun store all day but never buy anything.

Shadow 2 is indeed designed specifically for IPSC/USPSA Production.

As a guy who shoots this pattern of gun, if I were a CZ guy currently shooting a Shadow, I can say I personally would spend the money to upgrade to Shadow 2s, I think. On paper I like every single one of the changes. They have basically tried to make their own Tanfoglio Stock 3.

I have a P09 too, and it is a great gun, and with trigger upgrades I think it could be very competitive in production. Mine is the most accurate plastic gun I've ever shot.

P09 - Light weight helps draw and transition speed, trigger can be made decent.

Metal CZ including the Shadow 2 - heavier, so probably has slightly smoother recoil (though my P09 is very good in that respect too). Probably slightly more accurate on average. Trigger can be made VERY good, surely better than a P09 could ever be.

Personal preference, but if it is a dedicated competition gun, most would lean you toward the Shadow/2.

I own neither Shadow 2 nor P-09, but i have Shadow 1 and one guy at shooting club let me shoot both Shadow 2 and P-09 side by side (with my old Shadow).

There is not much to compare - both are big guns but Shadow 2 is even heavier than shadow 1 and significantly more than P-09, on the other hand it has better trigger (no surprise) it shoots more smoothly and its .. well exactly what you expect of this kind of competition gun.

So far no horror stories.
