So, I've had an SP01 w/manual safety for a number of years and love it. Recently I've had a jones for a Shadow 2 but frankly can't justify the acquisition under current budget constraints.
Is there a way to bring the SP01 trigger to about the same performance as that of the Shadow 2? My SP01 already has a CGW "old-style" trigger and trigger spring so anything that would work well with those components would be helpful. I am quite interested in the CGW "Standard Package" (used to be the Defensive Carry package) and wonder if that might not do the trick. I don't need the reach reduction of the "Pro Package."
I realize that the SP01 will retain the firing pin safety with the above kits. I don't know if it's possible or even advisable to remove it, and as such it will never get to true equality with the Shadow 2. That said, if I can get to 80% or 90% the same, it might keep me happy (for a while).
Any info appreciated. Thanks!
