i finally ordered one

I've been looking for a CZ 97b for years but never had luck in handling one

i just decided to go ahead and order one from grab a gun.( ordered Monday arrived Thursday free shipping-lucked into free shipping).

my gun didn't have the safety red dot painted so i painted one in this evening. tool marks on the inside of the slide( I'm ok with that)

the bore axis is higher than other CZs. the grip is big but with the aluminum grips not too bad but it is longer front to back. took pics of my hand gripping the gun(cocked and locked with snap cap to check trigger reach) compared to a shadow 2. similar at midgrip but longer front to back at the neck of the grip.
weight -the shadow 2 is heavier when i checked the specs.
trigger is gritty compared to my cz 85 and less smooth. hope it smooths out but the hammer cams back more and is similar to my sp01 which has the worst trigger among my czs (still shoots similar to the cz 85 though).
plunk tested well with my reloads even the ones that didn't go all the way in my case gauge.
too bad it was raining today otherwise would have had a range report.

i agree.
this would bring me up to 7 cz handguns and one 22 lr rifle.

thanks i hope it shoots well for me. a sig 227 didn't work out well for me. fortunately i was able to do a straight trade with another lgs regular for a p220 which worked better for me.
