Got home from work and my wife yells out that a fedex boxed arrived..

woohoo..I have been waiting for this..
my new CZ SP01 :D :D
sp01lr.gif

quickly wiped it all down and yelled.." headed to the range"

the gun is heavier compared to my CZ75b due tothe full rail....but feels balanced with the loaded mag in it..I had a new rear sight installed, a fiber optic front and a new DA/SA hammer installed..

the double action is smooth and feels about 6-7 pounds..the single action is crisp and feels about 2.5 pounds..

I had enough time before dark to shoot a three magazines of different handloads.. a 124jhp, 124cmj (montana gold) and a 147fp, all functioned with no problem and I was able to group in the upper a/b zone of an ipsc taget at 10-12 yards..

can't wait to actually spend an afternoon shooting this..but so far..I am loving this gun..

Oh sure, why don't you just come here and gloat about your new SP-01 while the rest of us wallow in the misery of not being able to get one yet!

Sorry... just had to let that out... nice piece ;)

Can you tell me where I can get a fiber optic sight installed? I have a PCR model and with my aging eyes I can use all the help I can get!!
Your comments will be grealty appreciated.

Thanks

Can you tell me where I can get a fiber optic sight installed and what the cost was? Was it also necessary to get a new read sight? I have a PCR model and with my aging eyes I can use all the help I can get!!

Nice./ I tried to put the new hammer in both my Cz75 'hard duty' and my 97b.
the safety would bind up in both guns. good that you have a "smith that knows Cee-zeds.

Know that the new hammer look mighty small in the big 97B!

Can you post some pics of your gun with the new hammer showing?

Looks great! I emailed Angus to reserve me an SP-01, next shipment of 20 he says will be here in 6 weeks. I can't wait.

I have bought my CZ 75 SP 01 Tactical two days ago I have to wait until Monday I would be able to register gun at the police. Gun looks well balanced. Little bit heavier then my Kimber Custom but it doesn’t mater. I am going to make some changes. Standard sear replaced by hard sear and hammer. Other tuning would be in the future. I am little bit nerves with plastic guide rod which seems to be thin however future will tell me how it works. Now I have to after registration spent some time on shooting range to see functionality and how it shoots. Another problem is there is now holster for this type of gun and I have to use my own home made holster. I was told that there is small numbers of new guns and some holsters producers are still waiting for higher number of sold guns. The some situation is with spare parts.
Best Regards

Bladetech in the US is making a DOH for the SP01, heard they used Angus's gun for the mold..

also I took my comptac holster and a heat gun to it..and my SP01 fits nicely.

check over on czshooters.com..someone there was making prototypes of a SS guide rod for the gun..

you will like this gun..I just shot my first match with it..so far about 500 rounds through it with no problems..gun ran great in the USPSA match I shot..I did not shoot well..but I am liking this gun a lot..

Hi EERW
Thank you very much for updating me. I have read about FLGR and about Blade Tech holsters, I will check it again. What is your opinion how it shoots? I have spent 23 years on duty with different type of CZ guns and my last was CZ 75 BD Police. I was able to shot with CZ better then with my private Glock 22. Now it is time to try this new gun.
And again thanks a lot for your info

:D :D LOL

it helps keep the gun low and stable when shooting fast..

actually it gives a great sight picture..the notch is nice and clean. rear blade is serrated and the front sight is tall and clean..

since the gun is mainly set up for USPSA..no problems..the couple times I wore it around..I did not feel any edges..so I think it would carry well too..
