If I can't get a gun to run, I do everything I can to get it right. If I can't,get it right, I'll let a local gunsmith try it. Sometimes, just getting a second set of eyes to see the problem leads to a simple solution.
I've never had to go beyond that point, but if I did, I'd sell it, but only to someone who knows about the problem(s). I've bought a few guns that came with undisclosed problems, and folks shouldn't do that to others.
Some folks here have problem guns and sell them -- cavaet emptor. Others bitch about the problems. None of us should have problem guns -- but it happens. But complaining doesn't solve problems, either.
Bevr's problem was complicated by the fact that his gun was imported by a company now out of the business. Because it was NOT warrantied by CZ-USA, resolution was likely to be more expensive than if it had been a new gun from CZ-USA.
Happily, the fixes were relatively simple. I'm glad Bevr has finally got his gun running and I hope, for his sake, it passes the 500 round mark without a hitch.
