If price and condition are the same, and you can only have one, which will you choose?

Please indicate which version will you choose (ie: CZ75 SP01, or Beretta 92 Vertec...etc)
Pictures are welcome.

EDIT: I'm not asking for "which one should I get?" I already make my choice. Just what you guys prefer, and hopefully see some CZ vs Beretta gun porn. I though they are pretty compatible for size, weight, firing system, value. And they are both military/service type pistol.

Here is my CZ75B SA:

Beretta doesn't fit my hand too well. And I HATE the slide mount safety. If they ever make a Vertec with frame mount safety, I will be all over it. But before that, CZ75B SA will be my choice. (much better trigger than B, BD. But I haven't try the Pre-B yet.)

Probably a CZ 75 stainless, or an 85 Combat in stainless. Got a PCR which I love, would really like a fullsize version to go with it.

CZ 75b

CZ75b without a doubt! I love mine and I can shoot golf balls consistently at 20 yards with it! It's a great gun

I own both a CZ PCR and the Beretta 92FS, I love my CZ and I intend to get a CZ 75BD or the SP01 soon. I voted for the Beretta, it is a better made pistol, fit and finish are just better than the CZ, "polycoat" frames. I carry my PCR every time I leave my house I trust it, and it shoots almost as well as my 92, but if I could only own one 9mm... It would be my Glock G34, next the Beretta.

Since you threw the Vertec into the mix, that's where my vote goes. Love the feel of the grip, and I'm used to shooting a Beretta for on and off the clock training for the military the last few years. Still not my favorite handgun in the world, but given the choices, put me down for a 9mm Vertec.

I had a beretta 92 for a few months, sold it to buy a cz75b satin stainless and never looked back. The CZ feels better, shoots better, and is better looking. :)

I don't like the Beretta..., never have. Carried both military and civilian versions for years. Too many production problems and the ergonomics SUCK (imho). The CZ75's that I have fired were the first ones brought into this country for the civilian market..., and the option of double action or cocked-n-locked sold me even before I test fired several.

Beretta hands down, don't have anything against the CZ but loved the Beretta compact that was issued to me for years, never failed. After they took it away and gave me a sig I really missed the beretta so had to buy my own settle on a 92fs inox got it a few years ago so all control parts are stainless not the black coated ones that come on them now days.

be safe

CZ, hands down. The Beretta is a good gun, but the CZ is better. All steel, better feeling to the hand (almost like a BHP), trigger feels a lot better to me.

I'd pick the standard 75B. Even full size, it's still trimmer than the 92 and conceals better.

Pre-B CZ75 for the C&L option

I have both (since I can)The Beretta 92 is a recent Italian build and I was supprised by the accuracy comaipred to the 80s vintage one I had shot before. BUT the CZ just feels like it was made for my hand and it would be the one in my holster if I could replace the issued P89DAO on duty.

I, too, have both and it would be a really tough decision to make. Though the CZ fits me a bit better, I'd pick the Beretta based on its U.S. military history and general reputation as being a reliable and accurate pistol. Parts should be available for a very long time in the future.

Beretta

I have had both and I would go with the BERETTA. I was more accurate, is actually cheaper right now and has the greater selection of after market parts.

I found that I did not use the cocked and locked feature of the CZ, so the BERETTA hammer dropping feature was a big plus.

I have a lot of experience with the Beretta 92 and there is much to be said in its favor, but I prefer the CZ. The Beretta just doesn't fit my hand and it is too big and clunky. It is accurate and reliable but ergonomics suck. I gave mine to my nephew. He loves it.

I have a very early CZ75, one of the first in the country via Canada, bought it several years before the fall of the iron curtain. I like everything about it except the painted on finish. It would be a lovely gun with a proper blue finish.

I've owned a CZ-75 PCR and a full size CZ-75 in .40 S&W.

Having shot and compared them against the Beretta, I would go with any CZ in a heartbeat. Better guns all around.

As for service history, compare websites and reviews. The CZ's are fielded by many more countries, have a longer history, and undergo way better proofing and QC than Beretta.

I choose 1911.

CZ's are great. But I like the ergonomics of the Beretta slightly better.

The double-action cocked and locked doesn't really impress me. If your cocked and locked, you might as well be single-action and have a better trigger. But the decocker/safety combo with the option for a safety-less double-action first shot is a great idea.

Of course, i'm not crazy about the 50/50 anodized/stainless look on the new Beretta inox models though. In comparison, the all-stainless CZ's win in the looks department.

Which gun's ergonomics work better for YOU?

Why in the world would you care what I would buy? (it wouldn't be the Beretta, but it might not be the CZ either, neither fits my hand worth a damn)

Wow, did somebody wake up grouchy this morning?

Im a big Beretta fan and chose it based on my experience from the military and shooting a couple back at home.

While I do believe the CZ-75 to be a top notch excellent pistol, I have not fired one enough to say its better than my beloved 92FS.

Just the same reason I log on to gun forums everyday to see what others have to offer in term of opinion, experience and pictures :D.

I add some more information on the op now just to get things clear. I did not start this thread to ask which one should I get, instead, just to see what people's opinion/experience with their CZ and Beretta. I DO care about which one you would get because maybe your experience have something more to offer me. THAT IS what I use internet for: to get information other wise not accessible to me.

I think I got your opinion down in the book now. Wish you have a good day sir. ;)
