CZ75 or Beretta M9/92

had this one for many years and many thousands of rounds with no jams:

You know what? I just love the spur hammer on those Pre-B CZ. I think SA's trigger is miles better than B or BD (not that they were bad, just not as great. And I believe pre-b has a lighter and smoother trigger for it does not have a firing pin safety in it). But I really want a pre-B CZ just for the spur hammer. Maybe I can get a smith to make one for me....

Since you threw the Vertec into the mix, that's where my vote goes. Love the feel of the grip, and I'm used to shooting a Beretta for on and off the clock training for the military the last few years. Still not my favorite handgun in the world, but given the choices, put me down for a 9mm Vertec.

I really need to try Vertec. Every Beretta fan I know recommend me the Vertec (after I told them 92/M9 doesn't fit my hand well).

A Vertec with frame mount safety will change my vote (maybe). But before that, CZ75B SA it is.
