Well, I'm here in Portland Oregon visiting a friend, and while I was here, we went to The Place to Shoot near Delta Park. Rented a CZ97B, and put the paper target all the way to the end of the range, which I eyeballed was around 20 yards. The range wasn't marked, at least it wasn't in a way I could see from the booth we had.

Excuse the crappy cell phone camera shot, and ignore the torso group. That was done with a Beretta 92 that I had also rented.

Unfortunately it did exhibit some typical rental-gun problems. The three tighter groups going vertically up from the neck were the result of the magazine dropping out under recoil every few rounds. I apparently was re-sighting higher up on the target after every tap-rack-ready.

I decided to cup-and-saucer it for the second magazine it from falling out, and it resulted in a much more scattered grouping. Still, to say that I am favorably impressed with this handgun would be a GROSS understatement.

I definitely want one now. :D

97B is made for people with larger hands, and I sold more than one by simply asking a customer with large hands to hold one. Good solid guns.
I wish the rental range would get that one fixed, though! I worked a rental range, and the guns get BEAT to death.

I wish it were fixed more too, but on the other hand, it probably did allow me to claim credit for 3 separate extra-tight groups at 20 yards, as opposed to firing 10 rounds and botching the single group with flyers.

:D
