DAA sent their lawyers and strong arm tactics after the FREE to download 3D printable DIY bullet feeder files on thingiverse as well as strong arming Karl Bibb who was authorized by the original 3D file maker AmmoMike to print and sell them to people who couldn't afford a printer or the retardedly overpriced Mr. Bulletfeeder.

See they never knew 3D printing was gonna be a thing and that people could print a product as good if not better than theirs for less than $60. But because the idea of "bullet flipping" is in their patent, they are gonna go after anyone that tries to make any bullet feeder that FLIPS a bullet from nose to base, or base to nose.

I would like to hear any thoughts on this. I am sympathetic to the idea of coming up with an idea and having it stolen, but this seems different. It's different because now we can all have a plastic manufacturing device in our spare bedroom... so it's not corporations or companies who are using/printing/taking a design. I could literally take one day and design from scratch now the Mr. Bullet Feeder and have it printed out the next day. Never before has this been possible.

1. This is not a reloading topic, nor even a firearms topic. It has to do with intellectual property and patents.
2. The ease with which a patent can be violated doesn't have anything to do with making it legal to do so.
3. The cost of a patented item doesn't have anything to do with making it legal to violate the patent.
4. Inventors are entitled (under law and within certain limits) to the exclusive rights to profit from their invention without competition.
5. We don't advocate illegal activity on THR even if the illegal activity does save money and is very easy.
