There's a dusty old 12 gauge pump in the corner of my Dad's bedroom. The wood is beat up and doesn't look like it was much to start with. There's some pitting on the barrel. The action sounds dry.

What interests me is it says, from memory here, Springfield Model 67 Savage (Arms?). It has a thumb safety like a Mossy and I believe a 3" chamber. It also seems a bit light and I bet a 3" load would thump you pretty good.

Any input on these?

Thanks,
Mark

They were (are) a lower-level, sturdy built gun. (the Model 67 was my first shotgun - did a lot of shooting and duck hunting with it. ) Clean it good, oil it up, and it should be good to go. No real issues overall with that model.

I agree...go ahead and fondle her the way she once was and never let er go. One day you will be glad you have her!

Thanks guys, I remember this pump from approx 35 years ago. Where I used to bunny hunt the scrub was so thick even a 12 gauge was useable if you led em far enough.

Later I grew some skills and went with the .22 or .410
