In addition to a G19 and an extra mag - the gun component

1. Two Delicas - why ? One for each hand. Defensive knife classes stress using a knife as an escape in grappling. You have two hands. You cannot always get to just one knife.

2. OC - for nonlethal situations - like Crazy Uncle Al whom it might be rude to shoot at Thanksgiving

3. Surefire - to see things that one might need to see and as an impact weapon in some really screwed up fight

4. Cell phone - call for help or pizza.

I sometimes carry a BUG - because I can. This set up gives me most likely situations.

Personally I feel more confident being able to be mobile. One gun, one knife and then your phone, keys, money, etc. is a lot easier to deal with situations than when loaded down. I do carry a couple of speedloaders in my brief case. But, go ahead, try to convince a jury that you were interested in trying to retreat and rid yourself of the situation when you have three guns on you with multiple knifes, batons, cuffs etc. They're liable to think you went looking for a fight and are a tad on the paranoid side. They're also liable to think you are a cop wannabe or a militant type and if they don't, the DA is going to try to make them think that! No sense in making his job a breeze in this situation.

I have no credentials to back me up but, I do believe I think fairly normal and with a decent amount of logic. At least I did before the mushrooms. .:neener:

The nice thing is, we all have the right to do as we please within the law.

Just the basics

Daytime: G26, small OC, cell phone, wallet, and keys with microlight.

Nighttime: Add Sure Fire compact flashlight.

Ultra High Threat Environment: Add spare mag and/or BUG.

Everything else stays in the car or in the house.

Timex Ironman
SAK & Maglight Solitaire attached to keys
Zip-up wallet with matchbook inside

In the car I always have my loaded Springfield Armory GI WII Champion, with 2 loaded mags, all in easy reach in times of trouble.

On my person daily:
Right front pocket always has my Kel-Tec p11 loaded, one in the pipe.
Left front pocket has spare mag, Gerber Lock Blade and Surefire flashlight.
I always have my cell phone just ahead of the right front pocket.

If carrying in holster either my SIG 220ST or my Champion in Galco pancake holsters backed up with the Kel-Tec.

I normally carry my Glock 19 with an extra 15 round magazine full o' Winchester Ranger RA9T 147g.

I'll carry a Gerber Air Ranger knife or a CRKT M16-13M, my cell phone, my wallet, and my keys.

I try and travel light so my wife doesn't make cracks about my bat belt..

My EDC hasn't varried much for many years.I just keep adding new things as they are invented(like the cell phone) call me a dinosaur.Currently I carry a wallet & comb l/r ,coin purse & Spyderco Endura l/f,Bandanna r/r,Keys r/f,Cell Phone on belt 8 o'clock,J-Frame in Pancake holster on belt 4 o'clock,Ammo dump with 6 rds in speed strip 1 o'clock on belt. Some times I'll just drop a Beretta 950 BS into my r/f pocket and dispense with the J-Frame,holster and reload, not very often but some times. That also dictates moving the keys to a jacket/suitcoat/Sportscoat pocket or IWB.Weddings will have the same effect but I'll suppliment a Seecamp .32 in a pocket holster instead of the Beretta.tom.
