Damaged my scopešŸ˜”

We've got plenty to spare!

Mowing your yard? Don't miss having to do that!

I can't fathom trying to maintain a lawn here, I don't know how people do it. Seems sisyphean to me.
Thankfully it rains so much the grass grows slow....been a month or more....id have a gravel yard if we lived anywhere else lol.

Course then i wouldnt need to clean my guns after every outing, and my stocks wouldnt mold....

I am curious how long the turnaround time will be for the repair.
I have sent scopes to Tasco and Leopold for repairs and both returned in less than a month. The Leopold in about 2 weeks.
My Dad sent one in to Tasco and it was 2 months, but it was during hunting season and I'm sure that they get overwhelmed that time of year.

I am curious if they actually repaired them or just replaced them?

The scope arrived at Vortex on the 9th. It shipped back on the 14th. Suppose to be here Friday. Seems pretty fast to me.

Definitely unfortunate, but hereā€™s a question for vortex owners; Are you less careful of accidents knowing you have that warranty or the same as if you had a super expensive scope without the blanket warranty ?
Curious.
Alway careful with scoped arms. When I pick it up I prefer it to shoot where I left it. Bears and intruders donā€™t seem to be very patient.

Iā€™m just as careful. Because most of my optics are on guns (binoculars and rangefinder being the exceptions), if my optic sustains damage, my gun will also incur damage from that same incident.

The goal is to not need the warranty and to not worry about the absence of an optic while it undergoes warranty repair/replacement. It is, however, reassuring that my Vortex optics will be repaired/replaced in case of accident, but I donā€™t treat them any differently as brands without a similar warranty.

I had a rifle w Steiner do a flop on the carpeted floor. Oops.
Didn't phase it, but honestly wasn't much of a "drop test".
Some comfort knowing it didn't cause an issue.

Buddy of mine recently stumbled going the two steps from his kitchen to his garage.

Didn't break the gun, but did break his PELVIS!

Gravity can be your friend, until it becomes your enemy. Cement floors are hard.

His wife was out at the time.

So there he was. Lying on the floor of the garage. In too much pain to move.

About then, THE GARAGE DOOR OPENS.

His wife nearly ran over him!

He wasn't supposed to be lying on the floor of the garage.

If you EVER decide to make a U-Turn on the stairs, please STOP. Collect yourself. Turn around SLOWLY AND CAREFULLY.

I worked a couple FATALITIES involving stairs. What a crappy way to go.
