Gota alove them DW revolvers. Looks like a real nice hunter. The external comp makes it . Wish I had the shroud! Weigand scope mount?? Looks like the way I set my 44 up. Have your shoot any 100 yards groups yet.

Yes, that is a Weigand scope mount...

100 yd. groups average 3" or less shooting Hornady 300 gr. XTP's....

Not to hijack, here's a picture of the NIB/unfired .445 SM my son bought a few years ago.

If you look closely, it is #000001

It remained unfired for only as long as it took to load up 50 rounds and get to the range

I missed out on 445, about three years ago. I should have dug a little deeper in my pocket for the addition $50. I still kick myself in the A$$. I have a 741 (8 and 6) and 2, 15-2's (8, 4 and 2) in my collection now. The 741 will go to Pennsylvania with me, for deer hunting in a few weeks.

Looking at your 445 picture, I just kicked myself in the A$$, again.

Steve CT: isn't that what DW called the "Alaskan"?

I join CaptHank in kicking my own a$$ for not getting one all the years it was available on the DW website. I hear they didn't sell well at the asking price, and the wag in me wonders if you got the only one made.

This one is not an Alaskan, it is the first of what became the Alaskan.

My son was home on leave after 14 months in the Gulf and we were cruising my favorite LGS here in CT, where they know that I am a DW guy. They showed me this one, NIB, unfired. This shop had sold this gun originally, the buyer traded back in after several years.

My son had his "I gotta have it" look, and we (I) went out the door with it. He was stationed in the Miami area at the time, this one became his Everglades carry pistol.

Not really, as I have seen several of them. I shot the earlier unported one, and it was a handful with 300 gr loads and no scope for extra weight. It should be a LOT more civilized the way you have it. :D
