Data for 125g TNT in 7.62x39

Like the title says, I am looking for load data using Speer 125g TNT bullets for a bolt action in 7.62x39.

I picked up this bullet at a store on a whim, as I didn't need anything else so ordering online was out. I have data for Speer 125g SPs but don't know if I can use that and work up.

Any input appreciated.

You can use the SP starting data as your starting point.

My standard load for 123gr-125gr class bullets in 7.62x39 is 26gr of H4198, with a max of 27gr in my rifles. Others like AA1680, and any starting load for a 123gr-125gr class bullet will do ya just fine.

Cool, thanks. All I have on hand is H335 and H322 but I have SP date for those powders.

This will be my first attempt at loading for this rifle, all I am looking for at this point is "Can this gun shoot better then Wolf with .308 bullets?"

Slug the bore, then let us know the results. I bought a box of .323 round balls from Hornady just for that purpose. The results will give a hint if you can do better, but it isn't hard to beat Wolf. I use Reloader 7 with soft point projectiles from Hornady.

I've used both H335 and H322 with .310 125 SP's, and settled on a load of H322 a couple tenths below max. It's nice and consistent, and meters beautifully.

I keep meaning to slug the bore, I just haven't remembered to order round balls yet. The rifle in question is a CZ 527. The net seems to think the bore is either .310 or .311.

I haven't ever shot it on paper, but put maybe ~600r through it plinking and it seems to shoot where it is aimed. I bought the gun to convert it to 6.5grendel but after shooting it I have gotten to like it as is. I figure if I can get some decent accuracy with handloads and still be able to plink with Wolf I might just have to find another donor action.

I just loaded up 20r with the 125g TNT over 30.0g of H335. I set the OAL longer then spec as the rifle seems to have a longish throat. Pretty much anything that will feed from the mag will chamber without hitting the rifleing. The powder charge ended up pretty compressed which makes me a bit nervous, the max charge would add another 1.5g and would almost fill the case neck.
