I meant to post this in the thread after Shotgun 101 with Dave McCracken but I just now learned how to properly post a picture. :D
Here are Dave (ANApex) and Dave (McCracken) doing a flurry.

I dont want to start any trouble, but......Do their legs swell up like that every summer? :p :p

I'm guessing Dave is on the right and the guy on the left is Dave. ;)

Dave McCracken is on the right with an 870 TB (correct?)

And Anapex is on the left with his Win 1200 (??)

What Spinner posted sounds Logical .

I'd have to say based on threads and phone converstion McC is on the right- due to foot position and stance. Since I'd hate to have dfariswheel get into trouble all by himself ....I don't see any birds flying. I see a couple of guys shooting out toward a pile of busted clays - you wait - some excuse about hitting all the birds. :p

To heck with a couple of old Geezers ....I want the pic of
Girlwithagun with her new Shotgun. I can look in the mirror and see an old Geezer anytime I want...

Gimmee GirllwithaShotgun pics :D

Thanks,GWG.

For the record, I'm on the right and shooting Frankenstein. Anapex is on the left with his 20 gauge 1200 with aftermarket lumber. Nice gun.

I'd no idea my hair's getting THAT thin in back.

dfaris, we're well nourished, that's all.

Anapex and GWG, let's do it again soon.

Dave, that's Frankenstein that you're about to feed? I know its not a real good shot of the gun, but it doesn't look nasty at all. You had us all believing that Frank was the homeliest gun to grace a trap field.

It looks to me like the gun might be wearing a Monte Carlo stock (hence the guess that it was the TB) but its not real easy to see from the photo. Then again, the photo is a study of two guys busting clays and having fun, not specifically the tools they're using to do it. :)

Looks like there's a fair pile of busted clays out yonder .... maybe folks have been heeding the advice and BA/UU/R is a regular occurrence. ;) I'm betting that pile of busted clays represents a whole lotta fun for a whole buncha people.

BTW, interesting to note that you both wear your shell pouch on the right hand side. I put mine on my left hip ..... never even thought about it, just natural ... load with left hand. Not many others at my club use shell pouches (in fact I've never seen anyone using shell pouches) .... mostly ppl wear vests.

Spinner, Frankenstein wears a M/C stock these days, I liked the one on the TB enough to duplicate the measurements. This one is a Sile, made in Italy. The Morgan pad gets the dimensions closer to right for me.

And Frankenstein is not ugly. The mismatched finishes on divers parts lends an air of distinction. And I never have trouble finding it in the rack....

That mess of busted clays on the ground in the pic is the impact zone for skeet from the next range over. For those that have been there, this is Range 7 at PGC.

I rarely use a vest. I find them binding a bit, though being stubborn I had to try 5 or so before admitting defeat. The pouch and belt setup works for me. If I shot break action guns exclusively, I'd probably wear it on the left.

Being serious, that background reminds me of the Club I frequented a lot. It bothered some folks whom were used to a "open" field background.

I'm right handed. I started with and still have the P.A.S.T. Vest. The reason for this mesh Vest [ mentors] was for all the patterning I was to do. I had used a P.A.S.T. Pad For years for patterning and grouping pellets/ slugs - And for range work on centerfire rifles - the vest just gave me some pockets. :) At the time the the sod had not taken hold and the range didn't want us driving and using the tailgates for places to put all the gear - we walked over.

I bought a Two- wheeler to tote the targets, guns, and ammo. [ I got that " why didn't we think of that slap forehead look" :) P.A.S.T. Vest worked fine for skeet.

I then was given a 10X belt, shell pouch, and matching range bag. . Though I have won others and really miss the leather belts and pouches, bags and such...sentimentality keeps me using the 10X gear.

I have always worn mine on the strong side [ right ~ 4 o'clock ] the towel for the gun is ~ 4:30 , The towel for me is on weak side . If you ever wipe off a gun in the rain and then attempt to wipe your glasses or hands - you will understand why two towels.

I shot al lot of break action guns, I kept everthing in the same place as the repeaters. Repetition becomes habit - habit becomes faith . Kinda like where I wear CCW and BUGS...same place always, and these can and do keep the pouches and towels in place. ;)

I usually keep my pouch on the left hand side, that day I had it on the right because my wife saw her new mentor doing it so she had me try it ;) . I think for a pump or autoloader right hand side works good but if I would have had my Baikal out with me I would have had it on the left.
