I have a .32 Crockett which I have sighted in and accurized with PRB and a .32 Traditions Deerhunter which I have shortened the barrel on to 15". Recently I got comped some .32 conicals which I liked real well. I ordered 250 of the little 100 grain beauties.

I had done some shooting with the comped bullets and had chronographed them. I pulled 1621 from the Crockett and 1475 from the Deerhunter. I shot several targets with the Deerhunter and had upped the charge in 5 grain increments trying to raise the Point of Impact. I changed targets and was up to 45 gr of Goex. I did raise the POI but the POI was still 3-4 inches below the POA. The sun was setting, I was not happy and I decided to change to the Crockett for the last few shots.

I dropped the charge to 35 Gr Goex fff. I aimed high and expected the POI to be below the POA. I was pleasantly surprised to have the POI above the POA. I ran two more shots and got a nice little group.

At this point I decided to see if I could hit the squirrel (target) in the head. I was real pleased to hit him in the eye (at 25 yards). I loaded up another one and ran it again. I just about fell off the bench when I saw that I hit him in the eye again. At this point I just packed up and took to cleaning guns. (If I had Beeped up the last shot I probably would have committed hari kiti - I can stop any time I want - I am Not Addicted to BP).

So I have a .32 rifle which is shooting 100 gr conicals at over 1600 fps for nearly 600 fpe with very good accuracy. I am a happy camper.

Here I show:
1. the target
2. a .310 ball (between the other 2) a 25/20 and a 100 gr .32 conical.
