You are, of course, getting all sorts of recommendations. Here's mine, based upon having owned a bunch of scopes including various models of Leupold, Burris, Weaver, Sightron, Vortex and probably a couple of others with street-retail prices (what you actually have to pay for them) in the $300 - $600 range. This one has as good or better optics than any of them, I think it is an outstanding bargain (I bought 4 of them after finding out how good they are). I have the earlier version, not the E1. The earlier, non-E1 version is the Fullfield II 4.5-14x42 with the Ballistic Plex reticle. I love that reticle for both hunting and general plinking/target shooting. Sportsmans Supply has a bunch of them on GB right now. https://www.gunbroker.com/Gun-Scopes/search?Keywords=burris 4.5&Sort=13&PageSize=96 The E1 version has side focus (which I prefer) but a lot of them that I've seen for sale at good prices have the LR MOA reticle which I don't care for (waaay too busy for my tastes). I've never looked through the E1 but have read posts from people who had both models and said that the E1 is as good as the original, optically.
Here's the non-E1 version at Natchez.

Amazon also has them.
