A friend once had his "loading" room in a corner of his basement, not far from a wood burning "furnace" he used to heat his whole house. He routinely tossed paper trash in just to get rid of the bulk easily and get some extra heat as well.
SO - one day he and the wife went shopping. He purchased a couple hundred primers, she a bunch of other stuff. Arriving home, his wife emptied all of the sacks upstairs and called him to come get the trash paper - without mentioning she had left his primers in one bag. Honest sorta soul that he was, he soon wadded the bags and tossed them in the roaring furnace...including the primers. He said he knew something was wrong right away, immediately when it sounded like a combat zone inside the furnace ... he always was smart about things like that! (The only loss was the primers and a few ashes that puffed out of the seams.)
