And I was just wondering why you would want a 1911. To play GI Joe with in the tall grass?
 
I have a S&W PC 1911 and love it very much thank you. And NO I do not enjoy playing range monkey. I’m more of a serious shooter. I like MR and was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with them as a 1911 maker, but so far the responses have been irreverent....
 
I really do not see what distinguishes from many other similarly priced offerings. If I am going to spend that money Ill get a Springfield.
 
There other products have treated me well, it’s enticing. But I already have a good shooting 1911. I wonder what retail on it will be....

The pistol is made by Bul. It was originally "spec'd" by Charles Daly as the G4 with inputs from members of the 1911 sites. Bul elected to market the final product through Magnum Research, essentially the straw that broke Charles Daly's back.

You should be able to find more with an internet search.
 
For the MSRP no doubt the retail is still going to be overpriced .

Me I would just as soon save some money and more than likely get a gun just as well made by going with either a Armscor/RIA , new Firestorm/American classic 1911 or even a S.A.M./Shooters Arms 1911 .
 
I wonder why they waited so long? At least it has an internal extractor.

Yet another 1911-pattern pistol in an already over-saturated market? Well...If they can give us something that's better than the current crop, I'm all for it. Anybody got one yet?
 
Full size 5.055" bbl., is the "standard' full size barrel a fraction longer than 5" or have they gone off the reservation with some dimensions?
 
I'm sorry, but the "tight tolerances for improved accuracy" part makes me want to puke. That's not milspec or condusive to the "legendary" reliability of 1911's. I'll take mine with a bit of rattle thanks.
 
To the comments about my sig (nothing to do with topic), its just because I believe mil-spec is bull and don't buy into it having anything to do with 150 mph cars. There are go-cart that go over 100 so what. I didn't say I was planning to buy the MR it was merely an inquiry. And if it came from Charles Daly forget about it since they are no more. If I seam edgy I had a bad week and work... now where's my vodka.
 
I believe it is the one that CD was working on. I think the manufacturer told CD they were going to manufacture it for others and then CD broke off their deal as CD thought they had exclusivity. I think that is part of what caused CD to go belly up.

I am not 100% sure though.

You don't seem edgy you seem like an ignorant fool that cannot put together one correct sentence and yet takes it upon himself with every post (i.e. your signature line) to deride other people's choices in guns and feed anti rhetoric with talk about what people "need".

When won't we need one? Your signature line isn't in the 2nd amendment, you obviously made it up.
 
I'm not sure if it was for my comment here or for pointing out the irony of his signature line is his thread about buying a HK Mark 23 http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=507627 but I received a nasty PM the contents of which combined with the OP's command of the English language make me suspect that a 13 year old is the author.
