Your sig line implies the latter, although I suspect you might mean it in conjunction with the second to last one. It also implies that you think anyone wanted a rifle that meets or exceeds those specs they are a mall [ninja] (I'm not even sure what a mall nazi is supposed to connote). First, so what? As pointed out earlier most people have little need for what they buy. Do you
need a Mark 23? I doubt it. Is there anything wrong with wanting one? No. Further there are many people that do use their weapons in demanding ways, carbine courses, 3 gun etc. Is that pretending they are GI Joe? Maybe, but I think it is pretty bad policy for any gun owner to criticize another for the manner in which they choose to enjoy their guns provided it is safe and legal. If they are playing GI what is the problem? There is an industry and culture that has sprung up around playing cowboy.
