I hope this is a good place to ask ...
What's the shooting technique on the longer-barrelled Desert Eagles? With no barrel-cylinder gap to roast your arm hairs, you could theoretically put your weak hand out front to support the weight of your 10" or 14" barrel, right? I just haven't ever seen anyone pose that way (I usually see the 6" in photos, though). Some of the other big semiautos (I'm thinking of the ones designed to look like submachineguns) have a little furniture to put your left hand on - the Wilkinson 9mm had a small wooden forend, the Steyr SPP has a little projection to keep your hand from slipping in front of the barrel.... Maybe if the DE doesn't have this they intend both hands together in a regular pistol stance, but keeping a 14" barrel on target that way sounds like quite a feat!
