Dicks locations discontinued guns?

Anyone have a link for dicks who are doing away with guns? I’ve found really good deals when they decided to clearance stuff and I need a new shotgun!

Right now it is pretty much a crap shoot.

"DICK'S SPORTING GOODS announced Tuesday that it will stop selling guns in more than 100 of its stores.

Executives at the sporting goods store said on a conference call that the company will stop the sale of firearms in 125 of its stores, The Wall Street Journal reported.The company tested the concept in 10 of its stores in the past year. Dick's currently operates more 729 stores.

The move comes after Dick's stopped selling guns to customers under the age of 21 in February 2018, after a deadly shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida. It put restrictions on ammunition sales and discontinued the sale of military-style semi-automatic rifles and high-capacity magazines '.

They have not identified the stores. Not publicly that I am aware of anyway.

Let's keep it on topic. The OP wants to know which Dick's stores are doing away with guns, so he can get a potential deal. That's fine: if you know of a store, post it here.
But we are not wasting yet another thread just to bash this franchise. They've been bashed thoroughly already.

Have you tried contacting Dick's? I would imagine some might be in those cities where there is a strong anti-gun sentiment

I would think that their most sensible plan would be to move them to stores that are actually still selling some guns now. But you never know they may be cutting them up like in that publicity vid last year. The way that CEO acts you never know what approach he will take. Personally I would have a hard time taking one if they were to give it to me for free.

I can't say, but I think the end goal is going to be Dick's ceasing firearm and ammo sales in all their stores, if not firearm accessories entirely. Which is fine with me, I would really like to buy one of their fireproof safes at half price.

My gut tells me in two years all Dick's will no longer be selling guns or ammo. Thus, I expect that list of 125 stores is going to be going up significantly and in a short amount of time.

Keep your eyes and ears open to score the deals.

I’ve checked with local stores and they won’t say anything or don’t know. I would even drive a ways to score a good deal. Last deal I got there was a clearanced H&R Handi rifle in 44mag for $100. I had multiple people offering $200-400 for it.

The Hillsboro, OR store has eliminated gun and ammo sales. The gun counter has been demoed and the area is being remodeled.

I visited one store shortly after they announced the first clearance and there isn't a pocket knife, box of shells, or stich of camo clothes anywhere. I usually never shopped there other than fishing stuff and clearance camo and guns. I kind of understand them ditching guns but camo clothes, boots, pocket knives, etc? I mean anything hunting related vanished. I wonder if they sent back to the wholesaler or destroyed it because that's a lot of stuff to get rid of. This particular stores hunting section was a full upstairs level of the store. By far the largest dicks sporting goods i ever saw.
