Glad i had come across this. Is this just for .22 or is it anything? Also if it is for 22 is it only for the little 50 rnd boxes or the bricks?

Here's some info on this coupon. I used one today.

1) It's good on ANY ammo they have... .22s.. .223, .280, .30-06 etc.

2) The coupon works as follows. You buy one box at the regular price and get the second at 50% off. You can even mix and match but you will pay full price for the more expensive ammo. (ie, if you buy a box of .30-06 and a box of .22s, you're getting 50% off on the .22s)


Now, #2 above might seem obvious to most people since that's what it says on the front of the coupon, but I mis-read it.

I originally thought it was proclaiming "Ammo 50% off". I thought it was a buy one at full price, get a second box for free type of deal. It's not.

I discovered my mistake at the register. Not as good of a deal as I was hoping. But, still... It works out to be a 25% off all ammo coupon.

That's a good question. I can only comment on 7.62x39.
I got a few boxes of Remmington 7.62x39 just to try out.

Midway is charging 13.79/20.

Natchez's closest was 11.79/20


Dicks had it for 12.99. My second box was 6.49.


So for my sample size of one, it seems like a good deal.

And yes, I know that this is NOT a cheap way to feed my SKS.. I just wanted to try something other than the cheapest Russian stuff I can find at gun shows.

Ok... so i went down and got 260 rounds of soft-point 55gr .223 ammo for a total of $72.43 or $72 something. was only able to pick up two 130-round boxes since i'm pretty limited on cash. Thats not super cheap, but evens out to about $6 for 20 soft point rounds. thats better than some steel cased wolf...

Went there tonight. Didn't have any .30 Carbine, 7.5x55, 7.62x54r, 8x56r, 9mm Makarov (Do you have any 9mm Makarov? - No, we just have Remington and Federal - no joke). I ended up getting 6 boxes of Wolf Mil Classic 7.62x39. 4.99/box came out to 22.50 for 120 rds. Works out to .19/rd. Not terrible.

Wonder if Gander Mtn will honor the coupon? That's how I got my M-44.

Thanks for the link! I used it last night. I got 2 boxes of American Eagle 44 mag 285g JHP ($25 for 50rds), and 2 packages of 295g powerbelts ($15 for 20rds). I was surprised the coupon worked on powerbelt bullets. Also the coupon automatically gave me half off on 1 box of 44, and 1 of the powerbelts. I would have thought it would have made me take half off on the two cheapest items.

They accepted the printout at the local store, but out of FOUR boxes of ammo the cashier deliberately discounted only the two lowest-priced boxes, which I found a bit annoying. If I have one for $30, one for $27, one for $25, and one for $15, shouldn't they discount the $27 and $15 (30 full with 27 discounted, 25 full with 15 discounted)? Rather than the $25 and $15?

All told the receipt says I only saved 20% total, rather than the 25% it would've been had I only chose items of the same price.

Dicks lives up to their name...

i fell for one of their coupon scams they had last winter. i went for .22 LR ammo looking for a great deal. i knew what the average costs of the ammo i buy all over town. when i got there i added up the full price box and the 50 % box and came out to the price of two regular boxes at Walmart, Gander Mnt, and Sportsmans Warehouse. Dicks is a rip off, i never buy ammo or guns from them. - Eric
