Did I pay too much? I don't care.

I have no regrets over spending what I did on this gun. The thread title was meant to be sarcastic.

I have a short barrel mod 36 that was my father's back-up as a state trooper. This was an impulse buy. I didn't need it, but I really wanted it.

I've lucked into more than one nice classic firearm recently. A good friend of my dad's just made me a deal on a pre '64 Win model 70 in .270win. He shot it, but less than a box as he put it. Also traded into a LNIB 1951 Remington 870 Wingmaster about a year ago. It kills birds, both feathered and clay, like a laser.

These unique finds have made me more of a collector than a shooter, but they all get shot. No safe queens for me.

fooled

pmbiker: Sir; you sure fooled us. :D My interpretation was way off base.
I about ran out to pick something up :) Your sarcasm didn't work.:D
good deal, good, gun, you won

We should be more astute next time

I sure wish that I could "overpay" for something like that.:D

This is a Fairy Tale, right? I didn't think these kind of things existed. You must be living right my friend. BEAUTIFUL!!!

Very very nice :D
I think you did great price wise as well. Finds like that, with the cardboard box and papers, are getting tougher as years go by.
Congrats on a beautifull gun. Thanks for sharing your pictures. :)
