I have no regrets over spending what I did on this gun. The thread title was meant to be sarcastic.
I have a short barrel mod 36 that was my father's back-up as a state trooper. This was an impulse buy. I didn't need it, but I really wanted it.
I've lucked into more than one nice classic firearm recently. A good friend of my dad's just made me a deal on a pre '64 Win model 70 in .270win. He shot it, but less than a box as he put it. Also traded into a LNIB 1951 Remington 870 Wingmaster about a year ago. It kills birds, both feathered and clay, like a laser.
These unique finds have made me more of a collector than a shooter, but they all get shot. No safe queens for me.
