Did/is anyone deer hunting in the Fl panhandle this year?

I'm new in this area, and haven't had much luck this year. Would love to hear about where you are or have hunted in the area, successes and failures, what works as far as bait, times you like to hunt, use of ground blinds vs stands, etc. I don't hunt with dogs. I'm in north Okaloosa county BTW.

I hunt around Tallahassee a few times each year. I usually get a deer or two but some of that hunting is on private land. I don't know much about hunting west of the Apalachicola River.
I've heard the Choctawhatchee area is good. Your best bet may be getting an Alabama license and hunting there.
