Did you order 45 Colt from Georgia Arms but receive .308 match?

And if so, do you live in NC? I have your .45 Long Colt and would be willing to meet you half way if you live nearby. :D :D :D

They don't have any coated match bullets, do they? I was looking today, but didn't see any.

Not my order and I don't even have a .308Win...but I can recognize a good deal when I see one...how much .308Win. and how much .45Colt (and what kind)?...and where in NC?

:)

They mixed up the shipping labels so I was hoping the guy who got my .308 ammo lived in the next county so I could meet him and trade. LOL. I gotta run my dope cards with the match stuff before Saturday and I doubt my replacement ammo will get here in time. :D

J ... As far as I know they're not moly coated. Just reloaded SMKs, I think. Thought I'd sort them by weight and OAL and try them. At less than $20 per box it might make excellent practice ammo. We'll see. If they ever get here. :D

Oops...got it backerds...you have the .45LC...and want YOUR .308Win. Well now that sounds like a problem. :banghead: Perhaps GA could rush your order in since they made the mistake...never hurts to ask. Good luck,

Mav.

Which Colt did you get, btw? I have lots of the super-high octane stuff, but would like to get some of the 200@ 1100 fps stuff for a Model 25.

J

It's 260gr JHP at 1200 fps. It says "Loaded to very high pressures ... not for SAA Colts ... and should only be fired in T/C Contender and Ruger firearms ... " etc. It's good looking stuff. I wish the return label would get here. I'm scared I'm going to go buy something that will shoot it. :D

After years of stellar service from every online business I ever ordered from, I seem to be getting all my bad luck at once:

Georgia Arms sent the wrong ammo due to a shipping label mix up.

Georgia Arms didn't get my RMA label to me in the promised time frame. And I also doubt I'll get the ammo I ordered by Thursday, as promised during the call.

AmmoToGo sent me another lot of PMC Bronze that literally WILL NOT GROUP. The first batch I ordered went into an inch at 100 yards but I can't even get this latest stuff on the paper consistently at 100 yards.

The National Rifle Association took my annual membership dues in December and I still don't have my card, even after repeated emails.

My order for a Savage 11 Long Range Hunter in .308 has now been pushed back three times.

My luck finally ran out, I guess. I need a Redfield 550 range finder and 100 rounds of Federal Gold Medal Match but I'm askeerd to order it. I'll probably be double billed and my order will be sent to Juan Valdez in Colombia. :(

Yeah, that 260 stuff ain't really a max load, but it's hot. :) You may just *need* a little Winchester, Rossi, or Ruger to shoot it. (I wish to hell Byron hadn't traded me back his little Winchester last year before he passed. I love the Model 57 I got instead, but soon, I'll have 3 N frames, and no sturdy Colts. :( )

I've been wanting another lever gun, and I just found a stainless Puma with 20"bbl in .45LC under $500. I'm going to read up on them and see what's what. I imagine that .45 Long Colt would make a nice short range deerslayer. :)

My wife is going to KILL me. :(

I imagine you're right (when loaded nice and hot, like it should be), but .454Casull would be even better. ;)

In a light carbine, you'll feel those 260s. Not hurtful, maybe, but you'll know you're shooting.

260@1400 fps ('bout what I imagine it'll do from a carbine)? That'll kill any deer deader'n The Monkeys singing career.
