Not do they bang, not is the website valid, I've done the back story research.
The webpage https://globalordnance.com/ shows LRP at a pretty high price. So be it, my decision yea or nay. To the question:

The page shows LRP dimensions as:
Ginex Large rifle Primers 5 5/3-N (brass cup) 100 per box
UPC: 810091154137
MPN:810091154137
WIDTH:3.00 (in)
HEIGHT:3.00 (in)
DEPTH:0.25 (in)

Now, obviously LRP are not 3 inches in width and height, nor ¼ inch depth, nor are LPP primers the same dimensions  I have read Ginex are hard to seat, perhaps being *slightly* oversized.
So ... just how oversized, just how hard to seat are they in real life?

Thanx!

-jb, not much worried about blowing one, more about having to toss a bunch

I only loaded 200 when I bought 2,000.

They are notably harder to seat. Out of my 200 sample, I had 2 I couldn’t fully seat. I’m sorry I can’t remember the brass I had issues with but it wasn’t a common brass.

I think I only shot 50 or so of them, all went bang.

I put them away with the thought that they work but they are just insurance.

I have enough primers to last me a long time but at the time I bought them they were the only game in town and I didn’t know if things were gonna get better.

I saw them at American Reloading recently and they were still cheaper than any other primers.

My experience was only with SPP.

I have used a good bit of Ginex. Mostly SRP but also some LPP. I bought them before the current crisis.

In my opinion, they may be a little harder to seat than some, but not by enough to bother me. And all my priming is done with hand priming tools. The vast majority of my my "hard seating" issues have been due to the brass, not the primer brand.

Thanks for the replies, gents. At $9/100 limit 200 I can take a chance.
Anybody that's actually taken a micrometer to them, that might be interesting o_O

-jb, different sized primers? Different sized .452 bullets? :D

I found it interesting that they limit your purchase to 20k.

That isn't a bad price. They last time I saw some at that price, in included shipping and HazMat. The vendor where I got them limited purchases to 50k.

I've only had experience with the Genix SPP...and only the nickle plated ones. I didn't notice that they were any harder to seat than Federal SPP...I'm priming on a Lee Automatic Case Priming press

I've heard of reloaders having brass that has loose primer pockets but otherwise good, wouldn't oversized primers allow a couple more loads before scraping? If so maybe these have a "special" place on everyones bench.
I've never used them but recently I saw them at a LGS, they were priced $10 lower than CCI so I'm sure they had more of them on hand.

That's funny, shows you where *my* head is at. I read that as $9 per hundred, limit two - 100 trays, 200 primers max.

-jb, aim small miss small :(

This place found on AmmoSeek, https://globalordnance.com/unis-ginex-primer-5-5-3-p1-for-large-pistol-brass-cup-100-per-box/ (with an 86/100 safe scam rating) seems to be selling at the 100 count tray level. I threw a single tray in my cart, $9, and an additional $9 for each additional 100 pc tray. Again, maximum order is 200 Units, being 20k primers. I couldn't find a HAZMAT fee without putting in my personal information (I hate doing that, even if I cancel/empty the cart), so who knows what the out the door price is.

-jb, they must not be proud of their shipping & fees
