Its cooling down here in Indiana which means wearing more clothes, but it also means being able to carry a bigger gun, so back into the safe goes the Makarov and out comes the bigger Smith mod 19. Does anybody else change with the Seasons ?

WIFF - "... Does anybody else change with the Seasons ?"

No. Colt's Lightweight Commander .45 ACP. :)

L.W.

In the summer it's a 2" S&W mod. 10 that I carry in my front pants pocket. Now that it's cool enough for a vest or jacket it'll be a 1911A1 or a 3 1/4" S&W 1917. On a cold day with a old field jacket on I might even slip my old Webley MK II on.

K9 year around except during the absolute hottest days when I opt for a P32 in the back pocket. It's worked well for the past 5 years, anyway. Eight rounds of 127gr +P+ Rangers in a well-made/designed steel handgun that I feel quite proficient with inspires confidence.

I've tossed around the idea of a full-size 1911 for some of the colder months just to try.

On hot days here in Texas with shorts on I carry a Kahr PM9. When it's cooler and I am wearing jeans or more clothing I carry a 1911 .45 or my CZ PCR. With any luck with the weather that could be several days down here.:D

Absolutely, Wiff!

KAHR P9 for Summer carry here in South Texas. .357 Model 65-3 "K" frame for Winter. Sadly, I only have the opportunity to carry the 65 for a few short months!

When the leaves change..so does the carry weapon!

Yup

Last winter was G-23.
Summer brought an AirLite J-frame, which was then replaced by a Kahr PM9.
As fall approaches, my Kahr P45 stands ready...

Here in the Frozen Northwoods, we are blessed with very warm summers, slightly cool fall and spring and a very cold winter (keeps the city folk down south). So in the summer, I carry a 3 inch (moon clip converted) Ruger SP-101 .357. During the fall and spring, I have a customized S&W 686+ that I had the bbl cut to 3 3/4 inches, gold dot front bead front sight added and moon clip conversion done. It goes very well under my suit coat or flannel shirt (depending on if I'm working or not). During the winter, I have a PC 625 in .45 ACP (moon clipped of course!) that I carry under my coat. Usually I have it loaded with my home cast #452423, 250 grn Wide meplat Semi wad cutters over 7,5 grains of Unique. That load is good for social work or if I come across a rowdy critter while taking care of the horses. If I'm snow shoeing or working the trap line, I carry a 625 Mnt Gun in .45 Colt loaded heavy.

There are many great revolvers...I try to enjoy them all!

Here in CA, we don't have the typical seasons...more earthquake, mudslide, flood and wild fire season :what: That said, we also don't have a lot of permits issues :) So, to answer your question, NO, I don't change as the seasons change ;)

envy....

financial considerations limit me to one carry piece....my trusty PT-111

but fall in Maine certainly affords a lot of options.....a fleece vest can hide just about anything.

Maybe Santa will bring me a Colt Commander or a CZ PCR!!!

Oh drat!.....why did I ever stop believing in Santa.

Nope

Here in South FL it's like summer carry about all year. I carry my Glock 30 IW under a polo or T-shirt all year. If I can't wear my shirt out, I pocket carry a Kel-Tek P-11 or 3AT. It's the same routine all year.
