Different way to mount a press to bench...

jrfoxx, here's something that may work on your bench. All you need is a router and the special bit to install the double T channel. No further need of clamps.

Thanks for that link. The bench I'm using now is only 1" or so thick, and it's cheap particle board, so I'm kinda stuck with the occasionally annoying clamps for now, but I will definitely be saving that link for when I get a house and can build a REAL reloadng bench. I think your setup with the recessed tracks is AWESOME, and I fully intend to try it out in the future, and the ones in the link you gave look like just the ticket for me.

Composite was scraps from work, it's a high density polyethelene (HLPE). Available from any local plastic supplier. (1/2" thick X 12" X 12") It's also available from MSC. http://www1.mscdirect.com/CGI/GSDRVSM?PACACHE=000000029554575
