MORE questions. Will the Dillon 1200b Trimmer work to trim M1 Carbine brass (tapered case)? If so, do I need a dedicated Dillon size/trim die? I have 5,000+ Carbine cases, and they're ALL over the place...length wise! I'm not going to trim all those cases with my Forstner. While cleaning my seating die, I noticed that the case is only allowed to go in to a certain depth, then is stopped by a ring machined into it. This means that the bullet is seated to a precision depth...no matter WHAT the case length is...DOH! All my brass is LC pull-down, and one would ASSUME they would be ALL the correct length. I've been reloading for a number of years, and this is a revelation to me. I have always trimmed my case headspaced 45 ammo, and it's the best I've ever used. Never accured to me why. I guess I've found the answer to the failure to load/go into battery/eject mystery...along with loading too light. I'm ashamed of myself...
