Does swaging a case primer pocket even if it wasn't a crimped primer hurt anything?

No, the swaging punch is the same size as the primer pocket, or even a little smaller. It's job is to remove the crimp from the mouth of the pocket and that's all. If they made the primer pocket larger, it would ruin the brass.

    Hope this helps.

I would like to use my Dillion swager on some 6.8 brass I have. Does anyone know where I can get a .270 size fixture?
    Thanks

It would be the same as the 30-06. You can also adjust the length of the large primer arm.

Using a 1050 every case gets swaged on #3 as part of the process..
