I have the chance to buy a Dillon shotshell reloader, brand new, but its been a display model, and they've taken a few parts off it or other presses, thus i can get it for about 400 bucks. I hear dillon has a great warranty where i can send it to them and they'll replace any missing parts? Is this true?

Give Dillon a call. The No BS warranty may not apply to all products.. IIRC there was a thread a while back where it was mentioned that the 1050 macine was somehow different in warranty coverage. This could be totally bogus, however I did a search on the Dillon site for "No BS Warranty". The shot shell loader did not come up on the screen.

not likely, why would they replace a part that wasn't on it when you bought it. The SL 900 is 750.00 new,the missing parts are why it's only 400.00, they will replace broken parts but not missing parts.Check the price for the missing parts from Dillons website, it might not be worth having to buy the missing parts to make it work

The warranty will not cover free replacement of any missing parts. We would be happy to go over it and let you know what is missing, but you will have to pay for the missing parts.

(can't figure out how to quote)

This might have been me. i bought my 1050 (not super) so long ago that I don't even remember. Probably before DILLONHELP ever worked there.
At the time they all had the "No BS Warranty". Mine has been and still is covered. Has kept me buying there stuff. Not so with the new Super 1050.

As for missing parts I think DILLONHELP covered it pretty well and rightfully so.

Sorry wasn't me. Not part of IIRC. Think it was on another thread here.

Seems like its only missing the shell feed tube. Im gonna have to look it over more, but that seems like the only thing right now, that its missing.

You will need the case feeder...without the feeder that press is just about worthless. I purchased one couple years ago used with the feeder...press shows up without feeder...long story short it got lost in shipping, took about 3 months for the new one to show up. I used the press without the feeder during that time and damn near gave it away numerous times. After the feeder showed up it's now a different story, that press is the poop. I got all gauge conversions, takes about 10 minutes to change. It's a great press, only wish they had a 410 conversion.
