Disappointed with Remington Customer Service

The one load that it does seem to be best with is CCI Quiet and with the 22 inch barrel it's basically a suppressed rifle minus the suppressor.

When it comes to .22, I have about 7 or 8 different go to ammo's that I use. CCI SV, Velocitor, Quiet (for non semi autos), Stinger, Aguila SSS, Winchester White Box, a couple others and if there's a .22 rifle I have that doesn't like any of those, it's pointless for me to keep because it's forcing me to hunt for an ammo it likes that I'm not going to use in any of my other .22's.

My other .22 rifles I have shoot several of my go to .22 ammo well to excellent, so they're keepers.

I'll have to think about whether the Marlin being good with Quiet is worth it. The plastic stock is the cheapest plastic I've ever felt on a gun, the iron sights were awful, the tube magazine malfunctions when a certain number of .22 Shorts are in it. If I could go back in time, I would have bought a Henry instead.

The stock could very well be the problem if it flexes a lot. Not sure if you can find a takeoff wood one for that model but .22 wood stocks often come up cheap on fleabay.

The stocks would cost me at least $75 and I'm not interested in putting any more time and money into this thing that has chatter marks in the rifling.

It seems customer service in the firearms industry is all over the map. Ruger CS rarely ever generates a complaint. I quip that it's because they get enough experience to be good. Tikka builds a great rifle and you are unlikely to need customer service, but if you do there is a better than normal chance you will be disappointed. So there you have great CS that you are more likely to need and poor CS that you will probably never need. Then there is Kimber. When you buy the gun you are playing the game of Kimber Roulette, and if you get a bad one you are probably going to suffer even worse customer service. Then you have company's like Weatherby. You will probably never need their CS, but if you do you'll probably be impressed.

Remington has got to charge for everything in an attempt to recover funds lost by producing , returning , replacing and not selling those handguns they've made in recent years.
