Disappointing Range Report Kahr P380

Same as with the new LCP, I think I'll wait a year until this cool little gun has had a chance to reveal any bugs.
In the meantime, the Seecamp LWS380 marches on .........

offer still stands

anyone not happy with their P380 PM me, I will buy it..

I'm still not 100% convinced that the magazine "redesign" is the answer. If something is pushing, hitting or ramming the round backwards hard enough to break the backplate then something else needs to be looked at.

I guess I would just feel that unless we hear a few more reports of this happening, that it could be just bad magazines. I know of 3 other P380 out there that I have read reports of from 200 to 850 rounds and not one report of this happening.

My feeling is the person who told that owner they redesigned the magazines, didn't know what he was talking about. Might be wrong also..

Don't know who makes kahrs magazines but bad magazines do appear

I would agree with you here. This seems to be specific to this single weapon at this point. I would probably send it back to them to test before I accepted new magazines as a fix.

I would tend to think that Kahr put alot of rounds through their test gun or guns. I know when I talked to them at the NRA show last February, they said they had over 20,000 rounds through the P380, not sure if that was one, 5 or 10, but surely to god if there was a magazine issue, it would have shown its face. That is something that one could not have missed either.

So for me right now I am willing to let this thing shake out alittle more.

no doubt we are gonna see some posts where "my P380 doesn't work". Just the nature of the beast... Then that to me is when a good company, a good reputable company steps up and takes care of that particular customer in a fashion that makes that owner say "kahr treated me right"

Last year duirng my kitchen remodel I bought the best GE profle micro wave (build in). It worked about 3 months, then the mother board went blink. One call to GE and within 2 days a tech was there and had the new parts on the truck. I can't complain. GE even called me about 2 months alter to see if it was doing OK to...Crap happens.

don't

worry, if I can't get it at the right price, I will just wait alittle longer. so far none available around Indiana area dealers.

Yes I am positive on kahrs, my two have been absolutley great, I expect the same from the P380. Have no idea why I really want it either, other than it looks like the little baby to my PM9.

It won't replace my PM9 but it will replace my lcp which has been an excellent handgun also..

That's what makes horse races. To each his own. Suggest that you buy one right now from that same Gunbroker seller!
