Do any of you guys have the Rock Island 10mm 1911a1 basic ?

I am a fan of the 10mm... have the glock 20- a kimber TLEII and a bud has several he likes.

We just got a few of the Rock island basics the other day. I have not shot mine yet and he hasn't either. I see reviews on the Rock Island 10mm's with the better sights and fancier triggers but do not see much on the basics. I know the .45's have been pretty good if ya are not a 1911 snob

I already load for the 10mm so feeding her is not taxing anything...

I plan on playin with this one a bit and if it proves reliable will become a "beater" woods truck gun sorta gun

She is smooth n tight but that does not mean a whole lot until I shoot her a bit does it?

Sadly I cant speak for the basic, but my 10mm Tac is fantastic. Rough on fit and finish but has a good trigger and superb accuracy with my handloads.

I have one that I bought about 2 years ago and it is a great pistol. They are on sale now at rkguns.com for $379 and worth every penny!
