Shirts, jackets, hats, etc.

Of course most people on here are gun enthusiasts, and most enthusiasts of any particular thing like to wear stuff to represent it(car enthusiasts for example). I wouldn't mind buying some shirts that represent some of the guns I'm fond of, but the thing I don't like about it is it seems to me that that would kind be waving a flag letting others know that you might be carrying.

What do y'all think? I know some people don't mind, and actually prefer to print so I wouldn't think it would bother them so much.

I won't wear anything advertising any product. These days that seems to make me part of a tiny minority.

My gun shirts don't advertize any particular brand, but are all USA Shooting shirts. I still get some weird looks being a college student, but usually a quick explanation that I shoot competitively is enough to pacify the class.

I have been looking into getting a few shirts from suppressor companies though

I just picked up a Browning shirt for cheap at Bass Pro last week..........

What about something more associated with handguns? Glock, Sig, HK, CZ, S&W, Springfield, Kimber, etc. There are plenty of shirts with pictures of Glocks, 1911's, revolvers, CZ 75's, Sigs and others for sale.

I wear a CZ hat almost all the time, and today wore a CZ shirt with it...and for the first time ever, someone came up to me and wanted to talk CZs. You coulda knocked me over with a feather - nobody ever knows what the logos mean, so that was pretty cool. I guess we HAVE been getting the word out. ;)

I have a Noveske shirt. I also have two Safariland shirts but only gun people really get those.

To a gun show or the range, sometimes. I still have the T-shirt from Scottsdale Gun Club from when I lived in AZ. :D Otherwise, no. There are no signs or stickers displayed on my vehicles or home, either.

Been packing for over 40 years. Only my wife and 3 or 4 very close friends know I'm even interested in guns, and that's the way I like it.
I don't advertise that I own guns, I'm one of the sheep don'tchaknow!!

I generally wear polo shirts and jeans (or dickies shorts) but when I put on a Tshirt I have a few different firearm related ones

a few funny ones like "I (picture of shotgun) Zombies"
a few gun shops I have gone to over the years (I pick up a shirt at any good shop kinda like harley guys do)
and just a few branded shirts and hats and things from the NRA or smith&wesson

I dont feel like I am making myself a target for anything while wearing these items around here most people dont even notice what your wearing unless its something truly vulgar or profane (goths punks and other weird dressers are far and few between here)

I don't in general, simply because I am usually carrying and that sort of apparel either gives it away altogether, or warrants more scrutiny, in which case any light print that would have otherwise gone unnoticed is now glaring.

I do have an old Glock t-shirt, "21st century technology" with the logo, but I rarely wear it out of the yard. Occasionally I will wear it out to advertise my opinion, particularly if I go somewhere that is anti-gun.

I don't really get any looks though.

I got a free EOTech t-shirt with my 512 and I'll wear that on occasion. I had a cop come up to me rather excitedly and ask, "Do you work for EOTech?" "Naw, I just got one on my AR-15," I replied. Never saw a cop look so disappointed.:D

I've got a Gander Mountain ball cap I wear most of the time because it's a good hat. Otherwise I've got blaze orange which is as good as a gun badge to most of the folks around here. It's especially funny around those who know I'm a leftist.

I'm with Detonics. I'm not going to be a walking billboard for any company. I would wear a shirt or hat with an NRA logo if I had one. But I'm not buying one. Hell, I won't buy Nike or similar products that have their name or logo prominently displayed. And folks who spend big bucks to be walking advertisements for pro ball clubs make me wonder???

Very rarely I'll sport an NRA tshirt or hat, normally I don't like to wear anything that advertises that I might be carrying. Even things that only other gun guys might pick up on. Bad guys read gun magazines and the internet too, there are probably some who even lurk on this forum trying to learn more. It would be foolish not come to terms with the fact that there are criminals who are smart, some even smarter than we are.

I have hats with Glock, Marlin & NRA advertising on them and wear each one along with my myriad of other ball caps (not at the same time, mind you). It just depends on my mood that day.:uhoh:

I can only think of one or two shirts or hats I own that advertise a specific gun or manufacturer, but I do have a wide selection of "free" shirts, hats, vests, bags (even a couple pairs of pants!) and similar stuff from shooting and working matches, from shooting organizations, and firearms trainers and I'm in no financial position to refuse to wear them.

Heck, if the next state championship match would put socks and underwear in the shooters' bags, I could stop buying clothes all together! :D
