Do You Advertise Your Gun Ownership

the NRA sticker in my truck window isn't an advertisement, it's a statement of my belief in America and our constitutional rights

BY GOD I DO! And you can better believe that the degenerates at my office probably hate me for it. But thats not my problem.

:)

Nothing on my truck to say "FOLOW ME HOME & STEAL MY STUFF"
Nah, with most bumper stickers it's more like "Begging for a Cop with no sence of humor to ruin my day"

Whereas OC says to would be crooks "Mess with me, and you get a one-way ticket to the Morgue"

Wide Spread CC Says to Would be Crooks "Every Inch of this state is guarded by one or more armed citizen 90% of the time, You Guess When"

I got to thinking after I posted this, for me the no advertisement thing goes farther than gun stuff. IF THERE ARE ANY LIBERAL TROLLS LURKING HERE I WANT YOU TO READ THE FOLLOWING VERY CAREFULLY. Both my wife and myself got out CHPs as a direct result of an incedent in which a liberal whako chased my wife down a main road in Co Springs screaming & cursing her at the top of her lungs over a political bumpersticker we had on the car. My wife realized that had the woman decided to take it farther she wouldn't have been able to defend herself, the rest is history. LIBERAL TROLLS IF YOU DIDNT GET THAT LET BE PERFECTLY CLEAR THE DIRECT RESULT OF THE ACTIONS OF JUST ONE OF YOU PUT TWO MORE GUNS ON THE STREET We also decided not to draw attention to ourselves & the bumper stickers came off the car. It may sound anti- social but I find the older I get the less I want to interact W/ random strangers. I've had people start argue ments with me over a Dale Earnhardt bumper sticker on my tool box, I had a co-worker ready to kill me over a Dallas Cowboys sweat shirt ( I don't give a DAMN about Dallas it was cold). I decided it wasn't worth the hassel so I don't wear logoed ANYTHING . I am aware that this may sound paranoid, but I'm also aware that people don't key my car or start random conversations W/me about Ralphie ( CSU Buffalos mascot ) makes my life much easier

No follow me home stickers but..

...

I do have one on the back that reads:

~ My German Shepherd is smarter than your Honor Student ~

Funniest bumper sticker I EVER saw was more due to its situation.

I stopped at a gas station for fuel, and noticed a car with a Pit Bull Terrier in the passenger seat. The bumper sticker said "My keys are on the seat next to my Pit Bull Terrier."

I went into the store and overheard a woman on her cell phone with her husband-- telling him to bring the spare keys to the car.

The sticker didn't lie. Only thing is that the dog learned how to lock the doors....

I have an NRA sticker in the rear window of my car. My truck is pretty much a rolling advertisement for the firearms industry and the 2nd Amendment. I have a bunch of gun and hunting logo'd clothing and hats that I wear regularly. Around here, its just how people dress. I think the assumption is that if you DON'T hunt or shoot, you're a communist, or worse yet, a liberal.

Not really. I have only one discretely placed NRA sticker, and that is the extent of advertising w/ logos. No bumper stickers or regularly-worn clothing with firearms or hunting related logos. I have taken some acquaintances shooting, but I really do not talk guns to any people but known enthusiasts or those I take shooting. If I take someone shooting, I am very careful not to creep them out by unloading on them a whole sermon on the RKBA or a technical discussion of the terminal ballistics of the almighty Hornady 5.56 TAP or MK262. Even with fellow gun-owners I keep it in check as some gun owners are not enthusiasts. Still, I have had some silly and/or stereotypical comments directed towards me by acquaintances. I generally respond with a serious but polite correction. I really do not understand what prompts some of these comments. These silly comments annoy me; similar to those darn deer flies that buzz around your head while staying just at the edge of your peripheral vision so you cannot get a good swat in at them. I guess they are born of ignorance and/or poor humor.

I proudly display my life member status with license plates on the front of both of my vehicles, as well as a NRA sticker and a Ruger sticker on the back window. Have a few T-shirts as well.

My vehicles aren't rolling billboards. Nothing on the car. One bumper sticker on the truck.

I do have a lot of shirts and hats that I wear though.

i suppose my 3/4 ton long box crew cab truck w/ oversize tires and nra sticker might be a giveaway. maybe the smith & wesson sticker makes it more obvious. at any rate, my truck is difficult to not notice, and it is a rolling advertisement.

when i need to be incognito i take my wife's ride w/ nra sticker and glock sticker. it doesn't stand out as much as my truck...

No stickers of any kind on my car but a shooting buddy and I can often be overheard at work when talking about guns, range trips, etc. I've had people quietly approach me and ask if they could come with me on the next range trip. It amazes me that some people are closet enthusiasts and treat shooting sports like a social disease.

+1

"BY GOD I DO! And you can better believe that the degenerates at my office probably hate me for it. But thats not my problem."

Great!!!

Nothing on my truck to say "FOLOW ME HOME & STEAL MY STUFF"

But Spend 10 minutes with me and you will know where I stand.
As it should be. I will not advertise, but I will not hide, either.

For example, I keep small animal hides and tusks in my office at work. These are not overt signs of gun ownership that would be threatening (a la decorative brass casings), but they are conversation starters that make gun ownership a little easier to talk about.

I think the only advertizement I got is a little oval travel type sticker on my laptop that says "762," nice and subtle. Other than that, I keep all extraneous stuff off my car. I make it my policy never to own a distinctive car in case you don't want to be recognized. And yes, that has paid off...

The only thing I have is an Ed Brown hat. Very few non firearms folk know who Ed Brown is. The NRA never sent the hat I was supposed to get with my membership so that's it.
