I joined a bullseye pistol club a 2 years ago to learn how to shoot my 2 new centerfire pistols -- a 9mm BHP and a Ruger Blackhawk .30 Carbine. I was bummed because the club has a rule that you have to *average* 200 with a .22 before you can shoot a centerfire, but hey it was an excuse to buy another gun. I bought a Ruger .22/45 with a 6 7/8" bull barrel. I totally sucked at shooting it for a while but eventually got better. Once I started seeing some improvement, the challenge and the slow progress made it interesting. Even when i finally got to 200, it took a while to get my /average/ up to that level. [Brag]Now I'm up to a NRA Sharpshooter level 9, and almost have my Expert qualification[/brag] (Probably most of you are Experts and Distinguished Experts, but I'm not competing against you I'm competing against myself.)

The league starts up again next week after a summer break, and I shot a 247 last week at practice. I was hoping for 250+, but I'm still pleased with 247 after having not shot the .22 in a couple of months. I may take a .38 along with me tomorrow, then again maybe I'll just shoot twice with the .22

.22 Rimfire Fanatic here

just what the title says, i am a .22 junkie. have a modest collection of them, a little more heavy on the Rugers, but i have marlins too. the .22's, until recently, were very cheap to feed so i could do a lot more shooting.

Marlin pre-safety 39-A
Marlin 759
Ruger 1022 folding stock
Ruger 1022 16" BBL, Corlite stock, Target Hammer (shoots like a laser)
Ruger MKII 22/45 P4
Ruger MK II 22/45 678 Target/Competition w/ True Glo 2X red dot
Ruger Single Six (.22 LR Cyl, only)
Springfield Armory M6 in .22 LR/ .410 shotgun barrels
Winchester 190 .22 LR semi-auto.

jeeze... no wonder my wife hates me... :what: - Eric

I love shooting .22s.

These are my favorite:
