Do you ever worry about the evolution of firearms?

Barr,
Another concern of mine is if a state like California gets hold of an idea such as guns that only work with a certain palm or fingerprint a la James Bond. Not sure if the technology is totally worked out yet, but I would say that it is possible.
My state of Maryland has already had that law on the books for about five or six years now. Every year or so our taxpayer money goes to this comittee that investigates the progress in the industrie's development of such a gun and as soon as one is commercially available, only those types of handguns will be allowed to be sold in MD.
We have been trying to get that stupid law repealed because our money is being wasted every year investigating a technology that is many years in the future (and of course because it is just another law trying to make it harder to own a gun in MD).

I worry about the DEvolution of firearms: Plastic parts, cheap manufacturing, indifferent quality control, and on and on. What's the next logical step in the downward trend? Cardboard components instead of plastic? How about disposable firearms that you can shoot only a few times, then throw away, like disposable cameras?
:what:
:D

You mean something like this:

Argh! They beat me to it by about 60 years or so! Of course! The Liberator!
