I have open carried in Alabama. Just once...but I have only been there a handful of times.

JH225,

I've been going to Costco ~once a month for the last 6 years and I have not see a "No Gun" sign. Judging that I've seen people OC a few times, I can only draw the conclusion that Costco in Huntsville is okay with OC.

Years ago, I quit going to Costco because they were anti-gun, to the point of printing anti-gun articles in their newsletter. Perhaps they've changed their ways.

That's actually the place where I see people OC'ing most often. I would guess that about 75% of time I am in there I see at least one.

Also isn't the law worded so that if you have a permit no gun signs do not have force of law even if you are open carrying except in those places specifically listed?

I'm in Huntsville and haven't seen anyone open carrying since the law was updated. Only saw one before. A couple of friends that are police officers tell me there are more people open carrying, I just haven't seen it.

Interesting. It is absolutely a company policy, but it seems some stores choose to ignore the policy. Nashville & Brentwood are posted (with non-legal) signs.
