Do you own guns you have NEVER fired?

Yes.

I have not one, but five guns I haven't shot yet. Of course, I haven't been able to find ammo for three of them since I bought them, and the other two... well, ammo costs so friggin' much these days it'll have to wait. The sad part is that one of the ones I haven't been able to find ammo for is a .22LR!

I got a Zabala side by side 10ga that ive never fired... due entirely to dry firing. Only leave a gun out for decorative purposes if you want something on it broken.

no every gun that i own has thousands iof rounds through and they are reliable, and if they are not, and/or i don't shoot them alot i get rid of them as i have no need for em.

Only one its a Ruger Superblackhawk 44 made in 1976 (bicentineal model) that has never been fired. But I also have another that isn't a 1976 model that I've fired a whole lot and killed several deer with.

I can't imagine having guns that I've never shot.

Most of my rifles and shotguns get shot less than my Remington 700 and Benelli M1S90, but I have shot them a good amount of times. A lot of it has to do with not having Mosin Nagant ammo, and just un-availability altogether.

The .22WMRs get used to shoot chucks. The Marlin M60 is my range .22, which is actually used relatively frequently.

Mosin Nagant is fired when I have ammo.

I shoot my T/C muzzle loader before hunting season. It's probably the most accurate rifle I own, with the best trigger, but the amount of effort it takes to clean it, it's not that much fun to make a range day out of it.

My other muzzle loader (side lock, traditional style) doesn't get shot because it was a kit from Spain. The steel is terrible.

The 870 gets dragged to the range time to time. I'm planning on using this for trap league this spring.

The 20 GA. 1100 has been shot a couple times, and it shoots dead nuts (sub MOA/MOA @ 100 yards). Probably handiest gun I have right now, but I've had it for almost a year. Plus it's hard to find the Hornady SST Sabot Slugs. But let me tell you, those SST Sabots are great.

The Benelli M1S90 gets shot during trap league.

THe Remington M700 (.30-06) gets shot most frequently at the rifle range. I just started to hand load for it and I want to be very good with it for next hunting season.

I feel like I forgot some

Absolutely Zero !!

I bought one in .300 Win Mag that took me 6 months to shoot. It was a great deal and "NIB" so I debated selling it for a profit or keeping it. Well............. I kept it and shot it and loved it. I've had a real hard time parting with rifles in my life.

I did but I don't now. I traded and sold what I didn't shoot for guns that I do shoot. I traded some S.I.G.s and Glocks and a Weatherby for some Colts and C.Z.s and Rugers. Nothing wrong with the guns I got rid of. I just like the guns I have now better.

Yes:

I have two Mausers that I just bought. I plan to reduce the number by going to the range today.

Posted by CoRoMo... hey, that's me!
Yes, but I'm removing one from that list this weekend.

One down, as of a few hours ago. Two more to go.
She shoots low, so the factory obviously didn't sight it in at all.
And I couldn't manage to bumpfire it for the life of me.
I thought the trigger was atrocious, but all else was good.
Me's happy.:)

I refuse to fire any gun if I'm below a certain number (we'll call this "X") of ammo for it. If I've just got the gun, then I wait until I've got at least X number of rounds for it.

I've waited a month between getting a gun and firing it (the record, so far).

nope. I won't keep a firearm that I don't shoot. A firearm that doesn't get shot is a waste of a firearm. It isn't being used to do what it was designed/made for. To me it is like having a car that you have never driven.

Sounds like some here will shoot a new gun before cleaning it or before mounting a scope on it. What's the point in that?

I buy guns with sights already on them (only my hunting rifle, yes that is singular, has a scope on it)

I hear you. I have two big game hunting rifles, but i only need one. If I got another one i wouldn't use it. Sorry this is off topic.

Yep I have a few, that are for the most part safe bound. Not for so much as a lack of want to, but simply preserving them for one of my three grandsons. Hopefully.

One that I doubt will ever get shot again, is my grandfathers 45 Colt. He got it back who knows when, and it has some interesting history. Another is a very low serial # Remington 83 in .300 Savage, which is in awesome condition, along with a Belgium Browning 12g which looks like it just came out of the box. The latter were inherited from above mentioned grandfathers brother. These were part of a collection which included an almost pristine Win 25-20 and a few others.

I have several collection guns I have never shot.... and I probably never will.... one of them I can't even find ammo for since it has been out of production for 40+ years....

I've got an OLD frontier-era Springfield. My dad bought it off of a farmer who said he came about it in 1967-68, when its barrel was stuck in the mud after a tornado. He filed a police report, put out local ads, and nothing ever came of it, so he kept it for years before putting it up at auction, where Pops bought it.

Yes a couple of 45 colts. one ruger vaquero and one S&W 625 2 inch.
I haven't had a chance to reload any and at $35.00 a box, I sure am not going to buy any.

Both you and me brother. I've got a couple of 45 colts also, that need to be tested.

Yup, as soon as you get the 10k of 10mm loaded, I'll change the machine to 45 LC..

You got about 3k of 45lc to load. :neener:
